Preparatory Curriculum: Theory and Solfege - This book contains: 1) A suggested Choral Catalogue for the preparatory level singer. 2) A brief description of the ICC organization and philosophy. 3) Our Preparatory Division Curriculum Guide and materials list. 4) Over 70 pages of reproducible theory and solfege worksheets and sight-reading materials 5) All materials are Kodály-based and include folk songs and simple arrangements. Though these materials are used by the ICC for 2nd and 3rd graders, much can be used with the beginning level singer in grades 1 to 5. Developed by Ruth E. Harmony in Sequence: Developing Part Singing - This book contains: 1) An overview and philosophy of Harmony in Sequence. 2) 50 Choral Octavos listed in Harmonic Sequence. 3) 275 suggested choral repertoire songs for developing part singing. 4) Over 100 pages of reproducible sight reading, theory, and vocabulary worksheets. 5) Folk song arrangements for part singing and sight reading. 6) Review & Evaluation materials for Beginning and Intermediate level singers including vocabulary reviews, tests, social activities, and flash cards. Recorder Fun: From Solfege to Absolute Letter Names - This book, recommended for grades 3-4, contains sequential recorder repertoire suitable for beginning level performance, worksheets for introducing and transitioning from solfege to treble clef reading, introduction to harmony parts, and a certificate of achievement.  The materials are Kodály-based and include folk songs, compositions, and simple arrangements.
